What Are Spinal MIS Channel Instruments?
Spinal MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery) Channel Instruments are modular tool systems specifically designed for minimally invasive spinal procedures. Core components include expandable access tubes, sequential dilators, articulating arms, light source interfaces, and disposable puncture dilators, typically crafted from medical-grade stainless steel or high-performance polymers . Their defining feature is the creation of a surgical corridor through hollow tubular structures, enabling “small-incision, visualized” operations when paired with endoscopic systems. Modern systems feature modular designs that allow flexible combination of channel sizes (5.2–22mm diameter), retractors, and accessories, with disposable options available to further reduce infection risks .
These instruments overcome limitations of traditional open surgery by gradually separating soft tissues through minimal incisions rather than extensive dissection, establishing stable operative pathways for procedures on cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine segments, including discectomy, interbody fusion, and fracture fixation .

Functions of Spinal MIS Channel Instruments
(1) Minimally Invasive Access Creation
(2) Stable Surgical Field Exposure
(3) Visualization Enhancement
(4) Multi-Procedure Adaptability
(5) Stability Support
